I am a 24 year old teacher, designer, and voracious consumer of all things books and art. I love binge watching shows and movies, weeping over books, creating needlessly lengthy playlists, and singing at karaoke bars.
I have come to realise that I read books and consume media at a pace unmatched by the people around me and therefore have no outlet to rant and rave about the things I like and dislike. So where better to put it than on a blog! I’ll mainly stick with book related content, occasionally foraying into music, tv/movies, and sometimes art history.
I love reading romance, fantasy, non fiction, and thrillers from Middle Grade, Young Adult, New Adult and Adult age groups. Some of my lifelong favourite books are Middle Grade and I cannot seem to shake them. Like my varied age groups, I also like to ready about diverse stories written by diverse authors. I find that representation in literature, art, and media is grossly skewed to favour able bodied, neurotypical, white, cis-gendered, heteronormative stories even in 2020. It is my personal goal to weed out those internalized biases from my own habits and hopefully in the process bring other people to reach for diversity as well.
As mentioned above, I review for Middle Grade, Young Adult, New Adult, and Adult books in almost all genres. I tend to avoid memoirs and self-help books. I accept advanced copies and finished copies in physical or e-book format, although physical books are preferred. Since I am a mood based reader, please specify if a review is required by a certain date so that I make sure to read it in a timely manner.
I post reviews on NetGalley, Goodreads, and on consumer websites when requested and can be contacted via my email, firstname.lastname@example.org, for review requests.
